Welcome to the website for Crafty Praxis, an Arts and Crafts Gallery located on the ground floor of the Byram Arcade, a beautiful Victorian arcade in the West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield.

At Crafty Praxis the artists and designers are all selected for their unique designs and quality of craftsmanship. The Crafty Praxis Yarn Shop contains a range of yarns, from hand dyed and hand spun to commercial yarns from Stylecraft, West Yorkshire Spinners and King Cole. We also have patterns, project backs, notions, needles and hooks, kits and support if needed!

New Events at Crafty Praxis!

Take a peek at what’s coming up!

We are hosting a Sunday Crafternoon every 2nd Sunday of the month from 1-3pm. Bring your current project (whatever it may be!) for a chat and the cafe will be open for a brew too! We will be meeting in the Byram Arcade, just outside the shop and cafe.

Every Thursday morning from 10 am until noon there is a knit and natter, where everyone is welcome with their knitting and crochet projects.
